How can I submit to Twelve Lions?
All film submissions for the Twelve Lions Film Festival must come through our FilmFreeway page. Submissions for the 2024 festival are now closed.
How are films scored and selected?
Our selection process consists of several rounds of judging from our jurors based on different sets of criteria. Each film is reviewed by multiple screeners to ensure every submission is granted equal chance of selection. At each round of judging, a film is given a score that helps to determine whether it will become an official selection.

How do I know if my film was accepted?
You will be contacted via email to confirm your film’s status in late August. We will send all communications to the email provided on your FilmFreeway submission.
My film was accepted! What happens next?
All films that are accepted into the festival must provide a digital screening copy, as well as a physical backup. Technical specs will be provided at a later time. We will also request a trailer link and poster image. Our team will be in touch to coordinate the delivery of all these materials and more.
How do passes work?
Each accepted film will be provided with two filmmaker passes. These passes grant access to all film screenings and events.
